We Plan Events That Actually Matter

Started in 2018 when two friends got tired of attending boring corporate gatherings. We thought business events could be better. More human. Less scripted.

Seven years later, we're still figuring it out. But we've learned a thing or two about what makes people want to stay instead of checking their phones every five minutes.

How We Got Here

Callum was working in hotel management. Saw hundreds of events that felt identical. Cookie-cutter programs where attendees couldn't wait to leave.

The problem wasn't the venues or the food. It was that nobody seemed to ask what the event was actually for. What would make it worth people's time?

We started with one question: What if we planned events based on what attendees would remember, not just what looked good in photos?

That shift changed everything. We began working backwards from desired outcomes. A product launch where people actually understood the product. A company retreat where teams left with real connections, not just forced smiles from trust falls.

By 2021, we were handling events for tech companies expanding into Taiwan's market. These clients needed something specific – events that bridged cultural contexts without feeling awkward or patronizing.

We've made plenty of mistakes. Like the time we underestimated setup time for a conference and had to rally the entire team at 5 AM. Or when we booked entertainment that completely missed the mark for the audience. You learn more from those moments than from things that go smoothly.

What Guides Our Work

These aren't mission statement buzzwords. They're the principles we actually use when making decisions about your event.

Purpose Over Production

Beautiful staging matters. But it should support your goal, not become the goal.

We've seen events with stunning visuals that accomplished nothing. And simple gatherings that changed how teams worked together.

Real example: A client wanted an elaborate stage setup for their annual meeting. After talking through objectives, we scaled back production and invested in better breakout session formats. Post-event surveys showed 40% higher engagement than previous years.

Clear Communication

Event planning has too much jargon. We explain what things actually mean and what they'll cost.

If something goes wrong, we tell you immediately and present options. No corporate-speak about "unforeseen circumstances."

We maintain a shared timeline document that both teams can access. You see exactly where we are in the process and what's coming next. No surprises in the final week.

Realistic Planning

We won't promise things that can't be delivered. Some ideas sound great but don't work in practice.

Part of our job is knowing what's achievable with your timeline and budget. And being honest when something needs adjustment.

A client wanted interactive technology for 300 attendees. After testing, we realized the venue's wifi couldn't handle it reliably. We proposed an alternative that worked with the infrastructure instead of fighting it.

Local Context

Taiwan's business culture has specific expectations around events. Timing, formality levels, how agendas flow.

We help international companies navigate these nuances without lengthy cultural briefings. And we help local companies create events that stand out.

When planning dinners, we arrange seating that respects hierarchy while still enabling the conversations you want to happen. It's a balance that requires understanding both the formal structure and your actual goals.

The People Behind the Planning

Small team. Everyone touches your event directly. No layers of project managers who've never met you.
